Robert wrote the data privacy section for British Telecom's winning bid for the £650m English NHS SPINE/SUS project and then led the successful bid for a 9 year pseudonymisation contract to ensure the privacy of that centralised Health data. Currently Robert is responsible for Sapior's corporate and product strategy and has presented widely on data privacy and solutions for enabling the ethical sharing and use of sensitive data in Health Informatics.
Robert has a special honours degree in Mathematics and a postgraduate diploma in Knowledge based systems. He began his career as an advanced computing researcher in the late 80's and has since progressed through product development, international data management consulting and in 2000 into entrepreneurial business development as a founder of Sapior Ltd.
