I am leading the Research and Evaluation department of Patients Know Best. I am originally from Greece and I hold a Nursing BSc and an MSc in Health Informatics (University College London-UCL). As part of my role, I am undertaking a Ph.D. under UCL's supervision evaluating PKB's health outcomes, cost, utilization, and efficiency.

Prior to Patients Know Best, I have been working as a Senior Research Nurse at the department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Imperial College of London and also, at the Hatter Cardiovascular Institute (UCL) leading most of the clinical trials.

Research is my passion, as I enjoy the most, discovering every day something new. I am a huge fan of Stephen Hawking and I do also believe that research gives you the joy of discovering something no one knew before.

Here is some of my research activity :

- [Scenario-based design for a hospital setting: An exploratory study of opportunities and barriers for personal health records usage](https://www.rcpjournals.org/content/futurehosp/7/2/125)

- [Remote Ischemic Preconditioning and Outcomes of Cardiac Surgery, New England Journal of Medicine ](https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1413534)
